NEW ALBUM - ‘ CLARITY‘
LE PROJET SOLSTICE est une collaboration entre 4 musiciens, inspirés par le jazz européen (ECM) des années 1970. Le projet consiste principalement de musiques originales composées par chacun des musiciens. Un jazz ouvert qui fait beaucoup de place à l’improvisation et à une certaine conversation musicale entre les musiciens. L’album Clarity fut lancé en mai 2024 à la galerie 10/40 à Montréal. Une musique excitante à découvrir!
SOLSTICE PROJECT is a collaboration between 4 musicians, inspired by the European jazz of the 1970s. The project consists principally oforiginal music composed by each of the musicians. A type of open jazz which gives lots of room for improvisation and a certain style of conversation between the musicians. The record launch of the album CLARITY was in may 2024 at the Galerie 10/40 in Montréal. An exciting music to be discovered!

Claude Prud’homme
Natif de Montréal, Claude Prud’homme est installé en Estrie depuis plus de 30 ans. Sa participation au PROJET SOLSTICE lui permet de développer ses compositions et lui ouvre de grandes possibilités musicales. Pour lui , la musique est un art , un besoin et une source de grand bonheur.
Claude Prud’homme has been playing in the Townships for more than 30 years. He has played with many bands , in many different styles for all type of occasions. The PROJET SOLSTICE allows him to develop his personal voice with accomplished musicians who push him to new heights.
Tevet Sela
Alto saxophonist Tevet Sela brings a wealth and breadth of influences to his playing that few musicians possess. The adept and dexterous post bopper’s music is often drenched in heavy blues, klezmer and Middle-Eastern inflections.
Le saxophoniste alto Tevet Sela apporte à son jeu une richesse et une ampleur d’influences que peu de musiciens possèdent. La musique du post bopper adepte et adroit est souvent imprégnée d’inflexions heavy blues, klezmer et moyen-orientales.
André Lafleur
Le contrebassiste et compositeur possède un jeu diversifié, allant du jazz swing au funk, rock, latin jusqu’à l’improvisation libre (free jazz). André participe à plusieurs ensembles, enregistrements et festivals tant à Montréal qu’en Estrie. Depuis 2021 il adopte la contrebasse électrique.
André Lafleur, doublebass player and composer, as acquired a diversified style of playing through jazz swing to funk,rock, latin and free improvisation .André has participated in many ensembles, recordings and festivals mainly in Montréal and in the Eastern Townships. Since 2021 he has adopted the electric doublebass.
Louis-Vincent Hamel
Batteur québécois, a forgé une carrière de près de 20 ans. Il a marqué la scène musicale nationale et internationale, enregistrant avec des artistes renommés, recevant des nominations aux prix Juno et remportant plusieurs prix Opus pour son jeu de sideman.
Louis-Vincent Hamel, québécois drummer, has built a career spanning more than 20 years. He recorded with many renowned artists nationnally and internationally. He was nominated at the Juno awards and received many Opus prizes for his role as a sideman.
